Why participate in this clinical research study?
Clinical studies are what allow all medications to come to market, including drugs that treat pain, infections, and various medical conditions. Without clinical studies, no new medications would be made available for use and they are only possible with the help of participants like you. Compensation varies by study, time involved, and whether you complete all visits and procedures in the study. Every volunteer study at JBR Clinical Research is monitored by an Institutional Review Board (IRB) to make sure the risks are as low as possible and are worth any potential benefits to the volunteer.
What to expect:
We are conducting a study testing an investigational injection to help reduce the pain associated with chronic low back pain.
Male and female participants, ages 18-65, who are selected to participate in the study may receive no cost investigational injection, study related care and be compensated up to $6,500 for time and travel.
The study will consist of a screening visit, a 5-night 6-day stay, and 7 in-office follow-up visits during the length of the 3-month study.

What is Chronic Low Back Pain?
Chronic back pain is pain that continues for 12 weeks or longer, even after an initial injury or underlying cause of back pain has been treated.
What causes chronic low back pain
In general, osteoarthritis (the most common type of arthritis) and degenerative disk disease (the natural wear and tear of spinal disks) are the underlying cause of many types of chronic lower back pain. However, lower back pain can also be caused by accident-related trauma and acute stress.
