Women Beware of Gaining Weight Between Pregnancies

A new study, that followed over 22,000 women over a 10-year period showed that women who gained weight between pregnancies had a higher risk of gestational diabetes. Women who have gestational diabetes are more likely to have diabetes later in life, it also increases the child’s probability of developing diabetes. The study showed that women who had gestational diabetes during a pregnancy and lost weight between pregnancies reduced their risk of gestational diabetes.
